Hey guys, I’m Kaitlin, and art is one of my biggest passions.

 I hope to display art by rising modern artists. I’ll delve into who they are, their history and how it impacts their art. I also want to exhibit artists at this school and in the Blue Valley school district. Finally, I’ll try to provide some informational posts on drawing, painting, animating, understanding art concepts and working Adobe programs.

Mainly, I just want to be a blog that can inspire you, whether you’re an artist or not. It would also be amazing if I could motivate some people to pick up art.

As far as myself, I didn’t truly get into art until the summer after eighth grade. I actually thought for a while that I must be a weird artist since every amazing artist’s backstory generally starts with, “I’ve been drawing ever since I could pick up a crayon.”

However, over the past two years, I have learned to cherish art closely to my heart.

I love seeing how other artists utilize color theory, understand composition or affect the audience using lighting.

I love the fluidity and beauty of 2D animation.

I love learning how some artists use odd materials to make furniture.

Even if it’s not in the category of art that I study, there’s always something I can take away from other great artists.

As readers of my blog, I hope you can also take away inspiration for the things you do in life.
