A Look at the Plaza Art Fair
Kansas City welcomes the annual exhibit
Every year, artists from near and far set up their stalls for an eventful weekend at the Plaza Art Fair. The Plaza Art Fair began in 1932 to draw people to the area during the Great Depression and has persisted throughout Kansas City’s history. Now it recurs every fall, welcoming over 250,000 people to its streets. Artists set up for the weekend with original work and enjoy the opportunity to talk to people about their art, while fair-goers enjoy a day out perusing beautiful art and seeing the city. Here are some artists’ work from the fair.
