What is your funniest memory in high school?
“Last year we went on the rep theater trip to the Kansas Thespian Festival. We did a clowning class. He had all of us go out in the hallway and start chanting. He had us try and steal something from somebody, and some random person crawled over and took Myka Beck’s shoes off. This person ran over and grabbed her Croc off of her foot. This guy was serious about his clowning.
What was the outcome? “One of the rooms next door was a singing class. Some of the other kids in the room from a different school didn’t get to perform because they could hear us in the hallway yelling and chanting.”

What is your funniest memory in high school?
“In College Algebra, we were really bored one day and we went outside on the hill. Then some of the guys decided to race up the hill and back down and see who was the fastest. Alex Guerke tripped going up the hill — like front-rolled up the hill — and then kept running, and then came back down. It was so funny because then someone was coming back down. It was Sam Christian, and he fell down on the cement — you can hear the collapse.”
What was the outcome? “We put a bench on the hill. Sometimes it would get moved around a little bit, but the bench was there for the rest of the year. It represented our class.”

What is your funniest memory in high school?
“My sophomore year, we went to a swim meet at California Trail Middle School. The whole team went in, we did the meet, and then afterward, we were informed that someone had taken a crap in the pool. They took a dump. The next day, we all woke up at 2 or 3 a.m. throwing up because we got norovirus. Then we had a meet the next day again, so only two people went to that meet.”
What was the outcome? “We were all sick for about a week or two. It was pretty bad.”
