The beginning of the school year brings with it the beginning of new school opportunities. For sophomore Maia Bajich, her opportunity takes form in the Pop show, the choir department’s latest addition to their upcoming show season.

Bajich, with help from her fellow student directors, is in charge of the rehearsal process for the production. The large time commitment has kept Bajich on her feet, but she has been pleased with the process so far.

“I’ve been kind of busy but it’s been nice,” Bajich said. “I like the people that I’m working with, which is always good. I like the environment, everyone’s really nice.”

Along with leading rehearsals as a director, Bajich will also be singing together with her peers in the show.

“I didn’t audition for a solo, [but] we’re going to have group numbers,” Bajich said. “I’m going to be in a couple numbers because I’m in a quartet too.”

Bajich is thrilled to be a part of this production and has high hopes for the show’s outcome.

“I’m definitely excited, it’s gonna be super fun and I think it’s going to be a really great show,” Bajich said. “I think we’re going to do a good job and everyone’s going to have a good time.”
