Humans of BV: Jack Sartino

With the thrills that competitive soccer can bring, students also face complications. Senior Jack Sartino, varsity captain of the soccer team, just recently quit his competitive team and decided to play only high school soccer instead.

“I decided to quit because I wasn’t playing the position I wanted to play,” Sartino said. “I was getting a lot of minutes, but it wasn’t really fun anymore and I wanted a change.”

Sartino’s decision also freed up his time to enjoy high school more.

“I feel like I can be more [involved] in the school, like go to football games and events,” Sartino said. “I have more time to do schoolwork and all that.”
