Before even officially becoming a BVHS student, freshman Jorden Edwards knew she wanted to join the girls soccer program. To kick-start this new activity, she chose to attend the BV soccer camp this last summer, which consisted of both tiresome conditioning and engaging drills.

“They just put you through pain,” Edwards said. “We did some exercises, then we practiced and played games.” 

Though Edwards is slightly nervous for spring tryouts, she looks forward to meeting other players who possess what she considers to be the ideal qualities in a soccer teammate. 

“It’s important to show the other team that you want to do it,” she said. “And [it’s important to show them] that you’re not scared.”
