Humans of BV: Maddie Fritz
After months of rehearsal, senior Maddie Fritz prepares to perform in the winter play “The Curse of the Starving Class.” This show is a drama, but it is different than most shows the department has put up.
“There are a lot of elements that we’ve decided to add in to make it more interesting [and to] add more layers to the characters,” Fritz said. “It’s definitely been elevated from the original script.”
The show will be performed alternatively to how the play was originally written, but the cast and crew have been instructed to not reveal “the twist” to audience members until the show begins.
“I don’t know how much I can say,” Fritz said. “Essentially, the show is about four family members and their internal struggles, with each other and with the world.”
The last performance will be on Feb. 19 at 7 p.m., and tickets are $8 at the door.
“It’s going to be a blast,” said Fritz.
