Sophomore Marissa Doughty is participating in a Forensic Science program this summer.
“It’s a program where you get to go to a university and learn from different speakers from the military, teachers, and people in the field,” Doughty said. “They talk about what [a career in forensic science] is like and how it impacts the world.”
Forensic science is something Doughty is interested in doing for a career.
“Forensic science is something that I’ve been interested in since my dad and I started watching this really cool TV show,” she said.
She is excited to learn about this potential career.
“I’m expecting to get a better understanding [of the career] and hear from professionals about what it’s like and how it works and the business because not many people chose a career in forensic science,” Doughty said. “It’s hard to do and it’s something that not many people are good at.”
