Do you remember all those cute popular school spirit wear items from elementary and middle school? What if I told you those were made by fairies or elves in the North Pole? Just kidding! Our very own Tigers Inc Feeder Line is hard at work making all the swag you see for all seven schools that feed into BV.
Tigers Inc consists of five lines: Apparel, Coffee, Strategic Marketing, Finance, and Feeder. The busy bees who run the Feeder line include associates and managers. Juniors Zach Bergeman, Whitney Merritt, and Megan Marshall, alongside sophomores Jeorgia Euston, Cady Boyd, and Annaleen Franklin, are all associates who are lead by co-managers senior Alan Richey and junior Kennedy Zellers who make up the Feeder line.
“Feeder provides spirit wear for all of the schools that feed into Blue Valley High School,” Zellers said. “We have taken on two more schools this year, so now we provide spirit wear for every school that feeds into Blue Valley. We fill orders and talk with the PTO [to] get their input and see what they’re looking for.”
A typical day in School Store for Zellers begins with checking emails to see if vendors, parents or PTO has contacted them. Then they check to see if anything has been ordered.
“We print those orders, fill them, and then, whenever it’s busiest, sometimes we have to jump in on other lines and help out.” Zellers said.
Depending on the time of year you might see members of the Feeder line selling merchandise at the elementary and middle schools. “We prepare for feeder events. It just depends on the time of year, but that’s generally our process. What’s your favorite part of being in feeders?
First year Tigers Inc staff member Jeorgia Euston shares her highlights from her first semester in School Store.
“My favorite part is the people on our line. We have a lot of fun together and we’re all hard workers,” Georgia said. “We probably have one of the busiest lines, but since we all work together, we all get it done. It’s really fun to be in class with them.”
