A Four-Year Planning Meeting will be held tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Blue Valley High School.
“The meeting will help reinforce what students have already heard in Tiger Time,” counselor Jane McGraw said.
The Four-Year Plan meeting will be for all freshmen and their parents.
“Looking down the road at junior and senior year can be hard,” she said. “There are so many options and it is hard to decide which path to follow. They need to be sure and keep their minds open.”
Students will need to bring a working copy of their four-year plan and a red course description guide. All of the counselors will be at the meeting to answer questions about the four-year plan.
“It is a good time to explore options,” McGraw said. “We will map out a plan for career and college preparation.”
There will be a PowerPoint for about 20 minutes that will go over what requirements the freshmen will need to graduate from college. After that, there will be a workshop for about an hour where the freshmen and their parents will get together at tables and work on the plans.
If students are not able to attend, they can always see a counselor with any questions or concerns that they might have.
