On Nov. 13 the first annual Entrepreneurship Event–Unlocking the Options will be held at the Regnier Center at Johnson County Community College. The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Students must register by Nov. 10 to participate in the event.
Speakers at the even will include Jim Sheridan from Sheridan’s Frozen Custard, Gail Worth from Gail’s Harley Davidson, Delena Stout from Brookside Bakery and Bath, Kurt Knutson from Freedom Bank, Jeff Hangroves from ProPharma Group, Inc., Valerie Jennings from Hippue Chow Granola, and Devin Henderson from Magic Entertainment, LLC.
Colleges such as Johnson County Community College, Kansas University, University of Missouri Kansas City and William Jewell will be attending to provide students with educational opportunities available for students at their respective schools.
Students will have the opportunity to present a 30 second Elevator Pitch with a chance to win scholarship money. Prizes include $1,000, $750, $500, and $250.
