The 2010 Headrush staff received first place and won Best Design for Art Pages in the American Scholastic Press Association’s [ASPA] annual magazine competition.
According to ASPA.com, the contest was designed to give schools the chance to review the quality of their publications and how they present themselves to their readers.
“It’s a great honor to get this award,” Headrush sponsor Keil Pittman said. “But it just highlights the work our staff put in. They are really good at putting Headrush together and I’m glad they were able to be recognized in a national competition.”
This year’s Headrush magazine is currently in production, and distribution is scheduled for after Spring Break.
“I can’t wait for the school to see the final product,” Pittman said. “It’s a great magazine and I’m excited for the staff to get to share it with the community.”
