On Saturday, Feb. 26, the Environmental Club will host a recycling fundraiser. From 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., club members will collect used jewelry and items such as old cell phones, MP3 players, ink cartridges and GPS devices. All of the proceeds will go to the Environmental Club.

Club member senior Rachael Mendez is in charge of the fundraiser. She said she got the idea from a recycling drive BV held during her freshman year.

“It was a great success, so this year, we’re starting it again,” Mendez said. “Hopefully this time it will stick around and become an annual event.”
