FCCLA, in conjunction with FEA and Student Council, raised enough money for a tree in memory of the late Pollard Caldwell.
It will be a maple tree and will change colors during seasons to represent Caldwell’s presence at the school.
The memorial tree will be placed between the football stadium and the tennis courts to honor all the sports announcements he has done over the years.
The date the tree will be planted has not yet been determined. At that time, students will be invited to attend the memorial service to honor the veteran teacher.
“I always thought a tree would be a good way to represent what a difference he made at Blue Valley,” FCCLA sponsor Donna DeHart said.
