Students who wish to enter to win the Parent Teacher Organization Scholarship must have their forms turned to counseling secretary Cindy Snell by Friday, April 1, at 3 p.m.
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must graduate in 2011 and have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
The student also must be planning to enroll as a full-time undergraduate at any school listed in the Education Directory of Colleges and Universities or a community college of his or her choice.
To complete the application process, students must return a signed Application for Scholarship, a resume and two recommendations, one from a BVHS teacher and one from someone outside of the school.
Snell said the number of applicants for the scholarship is usually small.
“There is a very good opportunity for a student to win money,” Snell said. “It is a good way to boost your earnings and make your parents very happy your making some money for school.”
