“You can’t stop him! . . . You can’t stop him!”
This chant from the BV student section about running back Justin Fulks accurately sums up his night. The senior scored five touchdowns, accounting for 30 of the Tigers’ points in their 33-6 victory over BV Southwest.
The Tigers started off the senior night game slowly, scoring only one touchdown in the first half, 7:07 into the game. They went into halftime with a 7-0 lead over the Timberwolves.
BV came out strong for the third quarter, with Fulks running another touchdown 2:54 into the half and putting up a 14-0 score on the scoreboard.
After receiving the kick, SW turned the ball over to BV on their own 20-yard line. This resulted in another Tiger touchdown by Fulks 2:59 into the half, making the score 20-0.
With 3:23 left in the third quarter, Fulks ran in another touchdown, racking up six more points for the Tigers.
The Timberwolves cut into the Tigers’ scoring frenzy by putting up six points of their own with a touchdown 2:07 into the fourth quarter, making the score 26-6.
However, the touchdown didn’t spark the comeback SW needed to give the Tigers a run for their money. In fact, with 3:59 left in the game, Fulks ran in another touchdown, leaving the game with a score of 33-6.
The Tiger football team will be back in action, hoping to continue their undefeated streak, next Friday night against BV West for the Homecoming football game.
