Community Service day,scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 12. , is a long-standing tradition in BV’s history.
“It gives the senior class an opportunity to join together and go out and serve the community together,” assistant principal Mollie McNally said. “And BV is always working toward the School of Service award that we have won the last several years.”
Reminders for Community Service Day:
- Meet in auxiliary gym at 7:45 a.m. and find your respected location for the day – attendance will be taken.
- Bring your own lunch — it will not be provided. Also, do not bring something that requires microwaving or refrigeration.
- Wear closed-toed shoes. Administration asks, if possible, to wear a BV t-shirt.
- Operation Breakthrough volunteers are not permitted to wear shorts or tank-tops.
- Complete the community service forms on the bus ride back to BV.
- Return to the school at 2 p.m. to view the video the broadcast students created — free smoothies will be provided.
- Remember that you are representing BV out in public, please be responsible.
