The second annual Blue Valley Friday Night Live (FNL show is this Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. in the PAC. The entire Advanced Rep Theater class will participate in the show.
“It’s kind of our own version of ‘Saturday Night Live,’” senior Ryan Russell said. “We try to imitate what they do at a high school level.”
Russell said the Rep Theater students put a lot of work into the show, both inside and outside of school.
“We’ve been rehearsing it for a couple weeks, and then we wrote for another two weeks before that,” he said.
Russell said he enjoys many aspects of FNL.
“I personally do [FNL] because I really like to write and act sketch comedy,” he said. “My favorite part is being able to write the sketches that go in the show and see people’s reactions to them.”
Russell encourages everyone to come out to the show and show support.
“People should come because it’s going to be a really funny show to watch,” he said. There’s one or two things in it that will surprise you, I think.”
