Only the Good Die Young

Actor Luke Perry passes at age 52

Luke Perry, best-known for his role on “Beverly Hills, 90210,” died at age 52 on March 4 after suffering a stroke.

Perry’s former Publicist Arnold Robison reported to CNN that Perry passed surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry and sister Amy Coder.

Robison said Perry’s family and friends deeply appreciate the prayers from fans around the world but request that their privacy remain respected during this period of mourning.

To his family and close friends he was a father and beloved companion, but to his fans, he was 90’s teen heartthrob Dylan Mckay on “Beverly Hills, 90210” and TV dad Fred Andrews on the hit Netflix original “Riverdale”.

Cole Sprouse, who plays Riverdale protagonist Jughead Jones, addressed Perry’s death on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” on March 7.

Sprouse said he and his fellow castmates are recovering and going through the paces of Perry’s recent death.

“Luke was one of those guys that would much rather have us laughing and telling stories about his life than lamenting it,” Sprouse said. “He was a good man. He was one of the guys that you never heard a bad word said about him.”
