At Blue Valley High School, we have block days every Wednesday and Thursday. I think block days can be very helpful. Having extra time to do homework or projects give students less work to do at home.

I think we should have block days everyday. It could be first hour, third hour, fifth hour, and seventh hour on Mondays and Wednesdays. Then we could have second hour, fourth hour, and sixth hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We could switch it up every week, so one week first hour, third hour, fifth hour, and seventh hour would be on Mondays and Wednesdays and then they could be on Tuesdays and Thursdays the next week.

I think having more block days would give us more learning time at school. Also,it would help us finish what we are doing in that class and more time to do after school activities like sports.

If odd block days are on Tuesday and Thursday, then we couldn’t have late arrival that day. So I think we should have late arrival on the days we have even block because we would only have three classes those days.

We could call odd and even block, black and gold days. So odd block would be called black days and even block would be called gold days. When the school tells us what classes we have that day they could say it’s either black day or gold day. We could still have Tiger Paws at the same time along with Tiger Time, which could just be on the days we have even block. I think this could help students a lot with the extra time.
