Happiness is so hard to gain and even harder to maintain.

Especially in high school.

It’s hard to keep a positive attitude through tests, break-ups, jobs, drama, and countless other problems we face every single day.

Think about the things that make you happy.

Maybe it is your family, or your friends, or your significant other, or maybe the activity you’re involved in or the job you work at.

Now, pretend all of that has been taken away.

Would you still be happy? Probably not.

That’s the problem these days… we can’t create our own happiness. I feel like everyone is dependent on someone or something else to make them smile.

You are responsible for your own happiness.

In order to stay happy you have to do the things you want, believe in yourself, and most importantly practice self-love.

All the best people march to the beat of their own drums.

The day you stop living to please the people around you and start living to please yourself, is the day you will truly be happy.
