It is beginning to be that time of year when students are now starting to look for the perfect prom dress. One of the hardest parts of finding a prom dress is locating the right stores and websites to buy it from. From trying to find places that make good quality dresses to a certain price range it can be one of the most stressful things a student has to shop for. Luckily I know of 5 good spots to purchase prom dresses from. 

1. Lucy in the Sky

First on the list is Lucy in the Sky. This is an online store that sells a wide range of clothing, however, it mainly sells homecoming and prom dresses. I have bought a few dresses from this site and have always loved them. Lucy in the Sky mainly sells solid color dresses with a lot of their material being either silk or velvet. Their price range is very good as well ranging anywhere from $40-100. Be careful to order from here pretty early, however, because it can take a while to ship when it is around the time of school dances. 

2. Windsor

Next is Windsor which is a store located in Oak Park Mall. Windsor is known for their affordable homecoming and prom dresses. They have a wide range of dresses from color to material. I have also bought some of my dresses from here and loved how affordable they were and how many selections they have. There are so many different shapes, styles, and materials of dresses that you will be able to find here. 

3. Mimi’s Prom

Third on the list is Mimi’s Prom. This store is located at 8015 Santa Fe Dr Suite B, Overland Park, KS 66204, and is the most expensive option on the list. This is where you will find more of your traditional prom dresses. They have several options for their customers from several sparkles and sequins to single color material. In order to shop here, however, you have to book an appointment and you will be scheduled with one of their workers. 

4. Hello Molly 

Next on the list is Hello Molly. This is an online website that has several different types of dresses and clothing. This site is where you will find more silk and floral-based prom dresses and the prices will range from $50-120. This is one of my personal favorite websites because I have found several of my dresses here and the quality is always very good. Another great quality about this website is how fast they are able to ship things to your house. In my personal experience, I have gotten all of my dresses from them within a week and a half. 

5. Nordstrom 

Last on the list is Nordstrom. This is a store that you can find several locations for but the main one is at Oak Park Mall. The dresses at Nordstrom can range from around $60-300 because of the named brands they hold in store such as House of CB and Dress the Population. Nordstrom is where you will find the majority of the fit or fit-and-flare dresses with very good quality material. A positive about this store is that there is not just one of them so if you can not find a dress you are looking for at one specific location, another one could have it.
