I have been doing theatre for 15 years. I started when I was about three years old when my mom put me into the youth camps over the summer. I fell in love with acting. By the time I was six I was playing Gabrielle in High School Musical the Musical (junior, junior).
Now acting is not for everyone, but for me it was my everything. For the longest time I wanted to be an actress. On that stage performing for the rest of my life, winning awards and walking red carpets. This dream soon faded when I grew up, but I am grateful for those wishes because it made me who I am today.
I became a freshman and got thrown into the BVHS theatre department. It was a blessing. Mr. Yarnell gave me experiences I never thought I would have. I started doing an average of six shows a year. I moved during my junior year and still did theatre, but it was nothing like at BVHS.
Senior year I came back, I was welcomed in the program with open arms. I was put into a rep class with only four people I knew. At first I was a bit nervous, but as time went on I started to love everyone in that class. From dancing with the girls in the dressing room, to sharing a hotel room with Solace and Kylie at DramaCon. I am grateful for every experience I got.
This is my final goodbye to my favorite class at BVHS. I want to thank the seniors for always being there for me. Thank you Bennett for putting up with my frat boy handshakes, thank you to Grant for giving the best hugs, and thank you Myah for always making me laugh. Thank you to Jenna, Lila, Solace, Kylie and Elise for always being amazing. I can’t wait to see where this department goes in all of your hands. A final thank you to Mr. Yarnell for always pushing me to be my best. The lessons you taught me will last for a lifetime. Thank you to everyone in that class for making my senior year the best one yet.
