The hour-long Winter Sports Assembly was held on Thursday, Dec. 5 to recognize the football State championship and introduce the upcoming winter sports. Organized by the Tiger Pride Leadership class, students and staff participated in ‘Minute to Win It’ competitions for class competition points and gift cards throughout the assembly. Activities included attempts to move an Oreo cookie from the eye to mouth called “Face the Cookie,” removing tissues from a tissue box as fast as possible, a relay race involving paper bags and a giant ping-pong game called “Bucket Head.” The winners were substitute teacher Deborah Harris, art teacher Mark Mosier, freshman Jack Norton and juniors Catherine Eatherly and Drew McElwain.
