Art Classroom Photos

Processing film, Sophomore Marie Patel participates in Photography I. “It’s really amazing to go through the steps of producing a photo,” she said, “It’s really rewarding.”

Drawing a high-contrast realistic piece, junior Hannah Tulle listens to music during Drawing II. “We started these projects about a week ago, and they’ve really helped me improve my shading,” Tulle said.

As Art Teacher Kim Francis helps a student with her drawing, she demonstrates the values to use when shading. “I think that coaching [tennis] has really helped me become a better teacher,” she said, “Being able to go from [teaching] to [coaching] and see improvement from students in both is so rewarding.”

Erasing a smudged line, junior Anna Nikole works on a drawing in Drawing II. “Having a teacher give feedback on my art is so helpful,” she said “It is super helpful as I try to focus my passions in one particular area.”

Working on his final project, senior Hank Dummit completes the voice-over. “On a normal day, I would be editing photos or talking to Mr. Mosier,” he said, “But because it’s so close to the end of the year, I’m working on a special video.”

Preparing to mount her photo, senior Juliet Holmes looks through her notes. “Taking notes is so helpful in a class like Digital Imaging,” she said. “There are so many things that go into making a great image, it’s hard to keep track of them all.”
