Playing a solo on the guitar, junior Russell Franklin shares his experience with the 2023 marching band show. “[The solo] added a bit more pressure to the performance aspect, but that’s a challenge that can easily be overcome with practice,” Franklin said. While he typically plays trumpet in the band, he got the opportunity to perform this solo. “It’s great to be able to play guitar as well because that’s something I’m really passionate about,” Franklin said. “I’m grateful to have the opportunity to showcase it in front of an audience alongside the band.”
