Wednesday, Aug. 25, Blue Valley will host its annual Fall Sports Night.
This is a night for athletes and their families to purchase Tiger spirit wear and kick off the fall sports season.
Girls tennis will host a match for Fall Sports Night, while for other sports, such as soccer and cross country, Fall Sports Night provides an opportunity for parents to watch their student athletes compete in more recreational setting than real games and meets.
It also allows coaches to help athletes improve before the real season begins.
“It lets us work on skills we need work on before the real games,” junior varsity soccer coach John Dale said. “We also like it because it’s a time parents come see players in a non-competitive setting.”
