The varsity football home-opener is 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 3 against Turner. A Pizza Dance will follow the game around 11 p.m. The dance is $3 and a student ID is necessary for admission.
NBC Action News will appear at the game in the Skytracker helicopter above. Students are encouraged to bring signs directed toward Skytracker, NBC Action News or in support of the team. This is a competition for the HyVee spirit award of the night.
“We are doing a lot of interactive cheers and the run-thorough always gets everyone excited,” cheer Co-Captain, senior Lindsey Benefield said.
The Stridin’ Tiger band will preform the rock-show and the concert show this year at halftime.
“I’m really excited about the show this year,” band member, senior Payton Epps said. “We have a new director and the show is really cool.”
