Blue Valley High School started off the 2011 football season with a win. After running through a banner displaying the words “Begin With The End In Mind”, the Tigers were ready to play.
Competing against the Turner High School Bears, BV started off the game with a bang by gaining 14 points in the first quarter to leave the score at a solid 14-0. Six minutes into the second quarter, the Tigers scored another touchdown. As the clock came winding down to end at half time, Blue Valley had scored a total of 31 points giving the Tigers a lead of 31-0.
As the third quarter started, BV showed no mercy towards the Bears. With an interception ran into a touchdown, the Tigers, yet again, bumped up their score. By the end of the third quarter, the Tigers had the lead 44-0.
Approaching the final quarter of the game, the Tigers were ready to win big. With a final touchdown, the Tigers ended on a positive note with a win in their hands by the score 51-0. The Blue Valley Tigers will play next week against the Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves at the BVHS stadium.
