BV slides past Bishop Miege, 24-21

The Tigers started off slow in the game against the Bishop Miege Stags last Friday night.
The first half consisted of a field goal by BV and a touchdown by Miege. The score at halftime was 7-3, with the Stags in the lead.
Six minutes into the second half, senior Sean Skaggs recieved a pass from senior Kyle Zimmerman and ran it in for a touchdown, putting the Tigers in the lead 10-7.
Later, senior Justin Fulks had a nice run to earn the Tigers another touchdown with two minutes left in the third quarter bringing the score up to 17-7.
With one minute left in the third quarter, senior David Marr retrieved a fumble on the defensive end and scored a touchdown for the Tigers, putting up a score of 24-7.
The Stags then scored a touchdown three minutes into the fourth quarter and the score became 24-14.
After a 70 yard run by Fulks the Tigers couldn’t pull out a touchdown and Miege scored a touchdown after a 92 yard play with six minutes left in the game.
The Tigers pulling out yet another win, with a final score of 24-21.
The Tigers face the Mustangs of BV North tonight at 7 p.m. at the District Activity Complex.
