Compared to last Thursday’s cold and rainy game, BV played in warm, 70 degree weather at their home game on Saturday, March 24.
The Lady Tigers beat the Manhattan Indians 1-0.
Although BV had multiple shots on goal throughout the game, they were unable to put one in the net.
After much back-and-forth action, the clock slowly ticked down to zero without any goals for either team.
The game then entered into a sudden-victory overtime –– two 10-minute periods where the first team to score would win the game.
During the middle of the first 10-minute period, sophomore Natalie Pace shot and scored the game-winning goal for the Lady Tigers.
“It felt amazing getting that goal, but everyone always give all the credit to the one who scored the goal, when really it was a complete team effort,” she said. “I mean, our defense was phenomenal that game and the assist [sophomore] Brooke [Zimmerman] gave me was perfect. I was just really fortunate being in the right place at the right time.”
This victory continues the team’s undefeated streak, 2-0.
