The story behind boy’s soccer at BVHS
Will this season be the season?
Boy’s soccer in the fall is something that everyone is excited for, especially Varsity player and Junior at
BVHS, Anthony Soblevsky. “I play soccer because it is my passion and I have loved playing and watching the sport my whole life. It’s what I love” said Soblevsky. The Varsity soccer team has not got off to a great start. They are currently 3-5 on their season, but Geometry and Algebra 2 teacher and head coach of the boy’s and girl’s soccer team, K.Dean Snell, thinks the players have a chance at their goal of winning state. “We have to perform each day at our very best from the beginning to the end, whether it is in practice or in a match. The players have the ability to perform at the championship level, when the entire team performs to their best that is when we are out our best” said Mr. Snell. Soccer is an all around great sport to get involved in or to just sit and watch. It takes a lot of patience and understanding that the game can end in a tie, even though that might not be what you want. Boy’s soccer is always a great way to start off the school year, especially since it starts a month before football. “We will continue to improve each day which usually has a positive effect on the outcome of individual matches” said Mr. Snell.
