Freshman football for BVHS

A team game for the ages

Freshman football is one of the best times of the year, according to freshman Trevor Lister.

“It’s one of the best times of the year,” said  freshman Stanley Kenyi.

Although freshman football is fun for the players, it is a real experience for these football players as they adapt to high school and the rigorous schedule of football.

Stanley said he enjoys the team camaraderie that comes with football and the amount of friendship there is on this team. He said,”There are many cool teammates who believe in each other and achieving the one goal of winning.”

Stanley also talked about the facilities.

Stanley  said, “The facilities are awesome! The football field is great, and our weight room is fantastic. But, I think that the locker room is really messy and it should be cleaned up. Water is all over the place and it stinks.”

The two teams for freshman football are A team and B team. A team has 1 win and 1 loss so far, with a win against Blue Valley West 12-8, and a loss vs Bishop Miege 38-20. B team has 1 win and 1 loss also.  This year, the Blue Valley High School freshman team has a very hard schedule with Bishop Miege,Blue Valley Southwest, Saint Thomas Aquinas, and Blue Valley West.  “This football year will be a blast!” said Trevor Lister.
