On Tuesday, April 17, the Blue Valley Tiger Lacrosse Club defeated Rockhurst (Mo.) 7-6. This matchup featured two of the three top teams in the Kansas City metro area. Spectrum Sports broadcasted the game, and replays will be available later this week.

The Tigers will keep their top ranking in the metro, and will have to defend it once again when they play #2 ranked Pembroke Hill (Mo.).

BV also was featured on US Lacrosse Magazine as one of the top teams in the midwest, coming in at #9. This was the first time since 2012 that a team from Kansas City was featured on the list.

The Tigers seek to improve on their third-place finish last year’s LAKC tournament; this win against Rockhurst avenged their semifinal loss.

The Tiger Lacrosse Club was formed in 2014, and their fourth year in the league has proved to be their most successful. They have also defeated #3 ranked Shawnee Mission East earlier in April, and seek to carry their momentum from the season into the tournament.

The JV team also had a successful outing against Rockhurst, winning their matchup 11-0.

The Tigers will put their undefeated record on the line again tomorrow night against Lawrence at 6:30 p.m. at Ottawa University.
