    Welcome from spring break Tigers! Due to construct Welcome from spring break Tigers! Due to construction, there are a few changes to parking protocols and procedures, so make sure to review your parking arrangements on the next slide. Also, make sure to refresh your memory on the schedule as we all return to in-person learning.
    Last November, Senior Zoe Cott, was nominated for Last November, Senior Zoe Cott, was nominated for the Shooting Stars Program put on by the Arts Council of Johnson County. This program offers scholarship opportunities for students in various categories including acting, 2-dimensional Art, 3-dimensional Art, and Photography. Each high school in Johnson County nominates one senior for each category. “I got nominated by Mrs Pickell, she’s the sponsor for photography,” Cott said. All of the photography teachers work together to go through and analyze the work of the seniors they are considering and end up choosing a nominee. “When I got officially nominated I was very shocked and excited,” Cott said. “I knew the other people who were in the running for it are probably some of the most amazing and talented people ever.” Click the link in our bio to read more.
    Jessica Taylor is a senior at BV and has always be Jessica Taylor is a senior at BV and has always been a student-athlete. For a total of 12 years she has been involved in gymnastics with nine of those years being on a competitive team. Through her local gym, Diamond Gymnastics, she has met lifelong friends and learned multiple life lessons she would not have gained if she was not a gymnast. “I’ve learned a lot about dedication and hard work,” Taylor said. “I might have to work a little harder at things that don’t come as easy to me, but at the end of the day it only makes me stronger.” Taylor has recently committed to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Gymnastics team to further her dedication and love to this sport. “Gymnastics has also taught me how to be supportive, encouraging and have empathy for others,” Taylor said. “I can’t imagine what my life would be like without gymnastics.”
