Shay Lawson, Co-Editor-in-Chief

Shay Lawson is a co-editor in chief for the Tiger Print. She is a senior at BVHS and is the captain of the varsity cheerleading squad, an executive tiger mentor, and apart of the environmental club. In her free time, she loves to listen to music, watch movies, and explore. Her most prized possessions are her friends and family.

The Varsity girls high-five each other as they energize themselves for the game. Their names were each called over the speakers, and they all threw balls out to the crowd as a part of their pre-game rituals.

Following through, sophomore Evelyn Diederich finishes her serve. Diederich scored the winning ace of the game. “It took me awhile to learn to serve the way I do, so it feels nice to know that my work is paying off when I get an ace,” she said.

Jumping in midair, sophomore Evelyn Diederich serves the ball. Diederich has been playing volleyball since second grade. “My favorite part about [volleyball] is moving from club to high school and playing with a new group of teammates,” she said.

Smiling, junior Bailey Begin high-fives her teammates. Her teammates congratulated her for helping them score. “I love our team and how we always celebrate when something good happens,” she said.
