Maddy Kang

Maddy Kang, Co-Editor-in-Chief

Maddy Kang is a co-editor in chief for The Tiger Print. She is a senior at BVHS and plays Varsity Soccer, is a member of NHS, tiger mentors and the environmental club. In her free time, she likes to workout, pretend she’s good at yoga, make instagram-worthy foods and binge-watch Friends. She loves to travel, blast Kacey Musgraves in her car and spend time with people who make her laugh uncontrollably.

Huddling together, the Tigers listen to each other and coach Dave Johnson. The Tigers defeated the Timberwolves 2 sets to 0 on September 19.

Readying themselves, Allison Tinberg, Evelyn Diederich and Cassidy Carpenter prepare to receive the serve from BV Southwest. Tinberg, wearing the yellow jersey, is the Libero and also a Defensive Specialist for Varsity.

The Varsity girls high-five each other as they energize themselves for the game. Their names were each called over the speakers, and they all threw balls out to the crowd as a part of their pre-game rituals.

Following through, sophomore Evelyn Diederich finishes her serve. Diederich scored the winning ace of the game. “It took me awhile to learn to serve the way I do, so it feels nice to know that my work is paying off when I get an ace,” she said.

Jumping in midair, sophomore Evelyn Diederich serves the ball. Diederich has been playing volleyball since second grade. “My favorite part about [volleyball] is moving from club to high school and playing with a new group of teammates,” she said.

Smiling, junior Bailey Begin high-fives her teammates. Her teammates congratulated her for helping them score. “I love our team and how we always celebrate when something good happens,” she said.
